Your PEDESTRIAN Loafers are a testament to fine craftsmanship and luxurious materials. Proper care will ensure they remain in excellent condition and continue to provide comfort and style for years to come. Follow this comprehensive care guide to maintain the beauty and longevity of your PEDESTRIAN Loafers.
Daily care:
- Use shoe trees after each wear to help maintain the shape.
- Leather (Black Box Calf): Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust and dirt after each wear.
- Waxed Suede: Brush gently with a suede brush to remove dirt.
Monthly care:
- (Only the leather) Condition your shoes regularly to keep the leather soft and to prevent the leather from cracking. Use a clean cloth to apply the conditioner in circular motions and let it absorb overnight. Next day, buff the shoe up with a brush or a clean cloth.
External care:
- The Goodyear welt construction allows for resoling to protect you from wearing your loafers out. So after a short period, we recommend you to get rubber soles on your outer soles. Inspect the heel and sole for signs of wear, and take your loafers to a professional cobbler for repairs as needed. Rubber soles will also add additional grip.
Cosmetic care:
- Shoe creme can be applied if scratches or fading of color occurs. This will freshen up the color, hide the imperfections in the leather, and add shine. Apply where needed in a thin layer, wait 10-15 minutes, and buff the leather with a brush or cloth.
- (Only the leather). For extra shine, polish your leather loafers with a high quality shoe polish, apply where wanted and buff it up with a nylon/micro fiber cloth.
Storage tips:
- Store your loafers in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and drying out of the leather and suede.
- Keep your loafers in dust bags when not in use to protect them from dust and potential damage.
